The frequent rains are damaging to cotton to an extent not now fully appreciated. The boll worm is very destructive on some farms, especially on bottom lauds, and will increase unless the weather should be dry and hot lrom now on. Fodder gathering and hay making arc almost stopped, and much of the former will rot on the stalk it the rains continue.
