Rice bag party honors Becky Smith Miss Becky Smith of Meridian, whose August 24 wedding to Norman Elvin Bailey has been announced, was honoree at a rice bag party Friday afternoon at the C. L.

Quin home. The bride-elect is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Aubrey B. Smith, former residents of Yazoo City.

Her formal gown of summer peau de soie and Chantilly lace was designed with beaded lace forming the long sleeved bodice and princess panel front. A watteau train was edged with matching lace. Her veil was held by a cluster of beaded tulle petals. She carried a cascade bouquet of white miniature carnations centered with a white orchid corsage.

Her illusion veil fell softly from a headpiece of rose petals embroidered with pearls. She carried her corsage of white roses and an orchid atop a white bride's Bible. ATTENDANTS Miss Amanda Renicker of Jackson who attended her cousin as maid of honor wore a yellow dotted Swiss dress on Empire lines. The bridegroom's sister, Miss Angela Dean Kirk of Bentonia, was bridesmaid. Her dress was identical to the honor attendant's.

Ringbearer was Wildy Raiford Hancock Jr. Mr. Kirk served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Billy Marberry, Herbie Kirk and Tony Rogers. The bride's mother chose a yellow crepe dress with matching net hat and shoes.

The couple is making their home in Little Rock where Mrs. Barry is attending the Arkansas Baptist Medical School of Nursing and Mr. Berry is stationed with the U.S. Air Force at Little Rock Air Force Base. Mr.
