The $160,000 well has a capacity and will serve about 500 families. 6. The annual affair, which will start at 10 a.m., will be sponsored by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce and the Fair Commission. Almost $3,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. There will be four age group categories in fiddling. They are: Deaths ages to 20; II, ages 21 to 39; III, ages 40 to 64; and IV, ages 65 and over.

The top prize for the winner in each category will be $100. The four category winners will proceed to a play-off, and the winner will receive an additional $100. Five prizes will be given in each category. Contests also will be held in bluegrass banjo, harmonica and string band. A liar's contest also will be on the agenda, with three awards James Walker Quimby James Walker Quimby, 53, of Yazoo City died Tuesday at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Stricklin-King Chapel. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Bill McLellan officiated.

He was retired from the U.S. Army, a veteran of the Korean War and had worked as an engineer for the Mississippi Highway Department. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Ann Quimby; two sons, Michael Quimby and Mark Quimby, both of El Paso, Texas; four daughters, Teresa Gabarron, Linda Quimby, Mary Quimby and Debra Quimby, all of El Paso, Texas; four brothers, Bill Quimby of Yazoo City; Robert Quimby of Vicksburg, George of Grenada and Oscar Quimby of Star; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Norton of Star and Mrs.

Cora Loflin of Jackson; and three grandchildren. James Morris Pratt Sr. PICKENS Joseph Morris Pratt 73, died Tuesday at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services were Thursday at 3 p.m.

at Stricklin-King Chapel. Burial was in Ogden Cemetery. The Rev. H.P. Tartley and the Rev.

Clyde Pullen officiated. He was a veteran of World War II, a Mason and a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. J.M. Pratt Sr.

of Pickens; a son, Joseph M. Pratt Jr. of Pickens; a sister, Mrs. Rosa Lee Weir of Florence, two brothers, Dan W. Pratt of Garland, Texas, and Howard M.

Pratt of Rusk, Texas; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Norma Gene Martin Jackson Mrs. Norma Gene Martin Jackson, 43, died Sept. 8 at John Sely Hospital in Galvinston, Texas.

She was a Baptist and a resident of Houston, Texas. She was originally from Bentonia and Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Tommy E. Jackson; one son, Chip Jackson; one daughter, Leigh Ann Jackson, a brother Fred Martin her mother, Myrtle Lancaster Martin of Jackson. Services were Sept.

11 at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Chapel with burial in Rest Haven Memorial Garden in Houston, Texas. Pallbearers were a nephew, Jimmie White and friends of the family. Options are topic A new type of agricultural futures contract called an option will be available to farmers beginning Oct. 31.
